It’s over for another year, however preparations for next years event are already underway!
We had a fabulous weekend, and the weather was very kind to us!

To all those participating in this year’s Stitchers Dream Day Out, (which may I add is soming VERY quickly - all our days approaching the event seem to roll into one!!) we will be having a ‘Sweet Treats” recipe swap… so if you have any favourite recipes, bring them along and we can share with the group!
Don’t forget to check the website for DMC Threads used, as well as your coffee mug, camera (to take pictures of the projects so it’s VERY important), and your sewing kit with needles, hoop, scissors etc.

For all of you who aren’t aware…
…. The Quilters Angel is a finalist in
The Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence of the year Awards 2009!
We will be attending the awards night - which happens to fall on the Friday night before Stitchers Dream Day Out! So we may be a little tired the next morning but it’s all worth it!!!!
The theme of the night is 1930’s ganster, so after the weekend we will post some fabulous pictures…. (well of Newton and Colin anyway!!!!)
As you know, The Quilters Angel has just celebrated its 5th Birthday, so Thank you to all our customers who have supported us, and helped to make my business possible!

September is upon us again - which means Spring is finally here! Although if you rely on the weather to determine the season - you’re in abit of trouble! It’s impossible to tell from day to day what the weather will do - rain, then sunny but cold, then sunny and windy and hot, then freezing cold! Come on, give us a break! However with Spring comes new hope, a new type of sunshine (well normally it does!), and a new attitude towards life. The spring atmosphere gives you a ‘boost’ to clean, garden, sew, tidy up - refresh the newly blossomed you!
We’ve caught a bit of the ‘Spring’ bug, re planting our gardens ready for the many people who visit during Carnival of Flowers and a fresh new look for our loyal customers…
We’ve also caught this bug in the shop - stocking up on kits, fabric pre-cuts and re-organising displays…
We are currently in the process of doing ’last minute’ touches to our annual Stitchers Dream Day Out - which is in one week today!!!!!!! This last week before is full of stress and excitement, and if anything is goign to play up on us - this is the week it will happen (*cough*… the computer/internet/photocopier/printer *cough*) !!
But we love it - otherwise we wouldn’t be doing it. It’s great to see everyone enjoying themselves on the day, and supporting this wonderful industry.
For all those attending the Stitchers Dream Day Out … we will see you there!
